Kart Flow

As a driver, you’re always looking to improve your lap times, and if you’re able to maximise the width of the circuit, your lap times will get faster. We want to discuss the topic about allowing the kart to flow around the race track and using every inch where possible. When drivers start out in karting, they tend to only use ½ to ¾ of the available race track, as it’s hard to judge the width of the circuit when driving at speed. What this does, is it narrows the race track, which means that every corner you drive, is tighter than it needs to be, so it is harder to corner at the same speed when your track isn't as open. This forces us to have to drive slower around the corner.
