Born in Costa Rica and raised in the United States, Danny Formal is one of North America’s most accomplished kart racers of the modern era.

Danny is a four-time SKUSA SuperNats winner in the premier shifter categories (KZ2 & Stock Honda), famously competing against — and defeating — current and former Formula 1 drivers. His talent earned him a factory driver role with CRG in Europe, where he contributed to chassis testing and development at the highest level.

Renowned for his success on street circuits and limited-track-time events, Danny’s strength lies in adaptability, aggression with control, and race craft under pressure.

In recent years, Danny has successfully transitioned to car racing, recording wins in TA2 and LMP3, and now competing at the top level of sports car racing with Wayne Taylor Racing in IMSA, including victories in Lamborghini machinery.
