The last technique we will look at is trail braking. This braking technique is where a driver will use some sort of brake pressure all the way to the apex of a corner.
Trail braking is highly used in other forms of motorsport including Supercars, formula cars and stock cars. The reason drivers will look to use this approach is that it slows the kart down the fastest way (as you have the brakes on for the longest period of time) while also keeping the front of the kart lower to the ground maximising your grip upon entering the corner.
