Many drivers are used to racing against the same people.
Week in week out, it’s the same drivers at the front, mid-pack and learning at the back.
But when you race the biggest kart event in the World, you get drivers from all over the world competing.
World champions, European champions, national champions all descending into Vegas to try take home the Holy Grail in world karting.
It can be daunting. Looking at the entry list and seeing the names of some drivers you’ve either watched online or read about in magazines.
But one thing is for sure. Vegas isn’t like your typical race.
The streets are built different.
You can’t test there week in week out.
No one has an advantage.
I’ve raced drivers that have better credentials than me. But get to Vegas and all that’s thrown out the window where drivers that are now competing in F1, F2 and IndyCar all struggled to tame Vegas.
So be confident. You’re up against the world’s best, but be sure to know you’re all entering the circuit at the same time with zero experience.
It’s who can adapt and push themselves the quickest that’ll succeed!
