Welcome to Atlanta Motorsports Park in Georgia, the most undulating racetrack in the world. As we approach Turn 1, the first thing we notice is the steep elevation and the blind exit. Drivers want to allow the uphill approach to slow the kart down and not use the brakes. In our cadet categories, this corner can be taken flat out. The KA class can hold it flat out with a slight trail of the brake to slow the kart down marginally. Our faster categories like X30 and Shifter will require a quick lift and then throttle at the point of the curb. Once exiting Turn 1, drivers can use all the curb, but be mindful that at the end of the curb it has a drop off that drivers don't want to run over which will unsettle the kart.
