Other peoples emotions and behaviours affect us and we have to be really aware of this fact as it cant affect our performance and how we’re feeling. As a kid growing up there was pressure placed upon me from my dad that if I wanted to take kart racing seriously with the amount of time, effort and money he was putting into the sport he wanted me to push myself and drive a certain way to get the best out of me. If I wanted to go out and have fun, that was ok too, but it meant that the resources wouldn’t be poured into me and we would take up karting as more of a hobby or social sport.
