Driving a kart through the different categories generally means going faster but driving the same lines. Brake a bit earlier, accelerate a bit faster but other than that not much changes…. Until you get to shifter racing, and you have the extra challenge of overcoming four-wheel braking instead of just the rear wheels braking to slow you down.
The big difference between the two is when you have just rear wheel braking (2 wheels), you can still turn the front of the kart and control some slide. When you drive a shifter kart (front & rear wheel braking) this means if you try turn the steering wheel into the braking zones the fronts can lock up and you lose the steering capability.
